The marvelous flavour blew away my memory of what was actually served. I still know there’s sea urchin, tuna, and chawan mushi, amongst many other amazing things. Coupled with an intimate one-table-for-eight-people setting, they’re worth visiting if you’re near Ginza.
Beef Bowl @ Sukiya
It’s a popular chain restaurant in Japan, but still worth having lunch/dinner there at least once. Some are open 24hrs in case someone needs a quick beef fix! XD

School Lunch @ Kyusoku Toban
A full sampler. Small bowls clockwise from bottom left: Meat Sauce for Softmen (Large Bowl in center), Miso Soup, Deep-Fried Whale, Vegetable w/ Glass Noodles, Curry Stew. Milk is provided as well as Agepan (Fried Bread) in the rear right side of the picture.

Had to visit this by recommendation of NHK World’s Japanology series, as well as Only In Japan. Thanks to the restaurant staff for the use of their well-furnished classroom!
If you’re visiting Tokyo, they’re open for lunch and dinner, very close to Akihabara. Itedekimasu!
