Tottori is well-known for their crab, and this bento makes full use of it, from its claws, shredded meat, to even crab stock used to cook the rice.

It’s beautiful, intricate, and yet ephemeral, as the exhibits get rebuilt every year, with changing themes (this year it’s Ancient Egypt). Considering there isn’t a solid barrier separating visitors from exhibits, I’m quite surprised someone hasn’t simply pummelled the sand yet.

In Japanese cities and towns, there’s a PA system covering a ward or town. A routine test is certainly ideal, so it appears they play a bit of music at 5 o’clock to both signal the end of the day, and to routinely test the PA system. Neat!
